About the role

Warehouse Associates at Ryder handle boxes, home goods, and clothing items using equipment such as manual pallet jacks. These roles support distribution across the US in various fulfillment capacities.

Pay

$19.25 per hour, paid weekly.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure all scanning is completed correctly.
• Help train dock employees on new procedures.
• Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties; check for evidence of product or container damage.
• Perform assigned tasks as described in location policies and procedures, including handling materials within associated logical transactions.
• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
• Participate in workgroup and team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up/sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks), including operation and maintenance (e.g., changing batteries, recognizing mechanical issues).
• May be required to operate manual or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment (e.g., packaging line).
• Powered industrial truck certification.
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, and policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into WMS computer systems.
• Willingness to work overtime as assigned.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment; self-driven and highly organized with excellent time management.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices.
