About the role
Ryder is hiring a General Warehouse Associate in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products handled include boxes, home goods, and clothing items. Equipment used includes manual pallet jacks and various warehouse fulfillment tools.
Pay
Hourly Pay: $19.25 per week (paid weekly).
Schedule
1st Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities
- Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers
- Ensure all scanning is completed correctly
- Help train dock employees on new procedures
- Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping
- Perform picking and packing duties
- Check for evidence of product or container damage
- Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required
- Participate in workgroup and team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations
- Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred
- Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., stand-up/sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks), including operation and maintenance (e.g., changing batteries, recognizing mechanical issues) – intermediate level required
- May be required to operate manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment (e.g., packaging line) – intermediate level preferred
- Powered industrial truck certification
- Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, and policies
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to input data into WMS computer systems
- Willingness to work overtime as assigned
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment and self-driven to excel
- Capable of multitasking, highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices
