Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Warehouse Associate assists in coordinating and participating in the receipt, storage, loading, unloading, delivery, and inventory of items, supplies, and equipment. They verify stock, identify losses, maintain the organized warehouse layout, and ensure safe operation of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Represent our Company in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.
• Participate in physical inventories to verify stock and control reporting to identify losses.
• Drive company vehicles for transporting orders and materials to designated sites.
• Load delivery vehicles to ensure all items and supplies are properly secured.
• Load, unload, prepare, sort, and organize material, tools, and various other items.
• Maintain and clean warehouse facilities to keep them orderly, clean, and safe.
• Maintain vehicles (checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) to ensure safe operation.
• Adhere to safety practices and courteous behavior in the warehouse, on job sites, and operating company vehicles.
• Prepare orders by pulling from stock to meet delivery requirements.
• Receive deliveries, inspect items for damage, and verify specifications, quantity, and quality of orders.
• Stock equipment and supplies to maintain required inventory levels.
• Interpret inventory, delivery, and safety metrics to streamline warehouse processes.
• Maintain documentation when items are taken from or returned to inventory.
• Scan incoming shipments to ensure proper inventory tracking.
• Partner with Warehouse Manager to evaluate inventory levels and proactively order low stock.
• Deliver materials or other items to job sites as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.
• Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and general safety policies.
• Ability to operate various types of vehicles/equipment and pass appropriate certification courses (Forklift, Box Truck, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Associate degree.
• Preferred: 3+ years of related experience – trade experience a plus.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift for extended periods.
• Must be able to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Must be willing to be flexible as jobs may change.
