Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for using safe lifting techniques, efficiently sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and/or straight trucks. The Warehouse Associate uses hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts in the loading and unloading of freight and other job duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment in a safe manner
• Working with different departments to meet demands of the business
• Communicating any issues to the supervisor that can arise from loading and unloading
• Keeping up to date with new systems and technology
• Participate in daily inventory processes, auditing and researching discrepancies
• Demonstrate reliability and commitment to punctuality
• Performs all job tasks as assigned (may vary depending on client requirements)

Minimum Qualifications

• Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move, stand, and bend for long periods of time. Additionally, this role requires the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and outside stakeholders in person, and from time to time, utilize computer-related messaging. The employee is required to maneuver about the work areas and move/manipulate various objects. This position may require extended work hours and travel.
