Warehouse Associate

Raymond West is committed to providing customers with end-to-end warehouse solutions, including lift trucks, racking, conveyor, dock and door systems, rentals, parts, and service.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials and equipment, including disposing of waste safely (e.g., dumping oil, crushing oil filters, disposing of spray cans).
  • Perform shipping and receiving functions at the dock, ensuring all equipment is properly tagged.
  • Store equipment such as racking or lift trucks in designated warehouse areas.
  • Maintain and track warehouse inventory, including tools, supplies, and materials.
  • Clean equipment via steam cleaning and maintain warehouse floors (sweeping, mopping).
  • Maintain organized aisles and demo areas, including cleaning and aligning trucks.
  • Empty trash receptacles as needed and assist technicians with minor repairs.
  • Deliver and receive parts when required.
  • Keep the shop and racking area clean, organized, and secured at the end of each day.
  • Report all accidents immediately and follow safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all procedures outlined in the company’s Employee Handbook.
  • Perform miscellaneous jobs as assigned.

Receiving

  • Identify ownership of all assets delivered to the warehouse dock.
  • Properly tag all incoming equipment, including racking, lift trucks, batteries, and chargers.
  • Complete all required paperwork (e.g., bill of ladings) and route to the appropriate department.
  • Verify received items match paperwork, including quantity and serial numbers, and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure all Raymond West assets are stenciled or tagged before leaving the dock.
  • Communicate with truck drivers to prevent unauthorized movement of assets from the dock.
  • Report any damage on incoming assets to the respective department.
  • Notify leadership of departments failing to provide timely or proper paperwork for incoming items.

Shipping

  • Verify proper paperwork and matching asset/serial numbers before loading assets onto trucks.
  • Load assets safely, following procedures to prevent damage during transport.
  • Remove obsolete tags from assets prior to shipment.
  • Keep the dock area clear and avoid storing assets on the dock.
  • Report to leadership any departments failing to provide timely or proper paperwork for shipped items.

Warehouse Inventory Control

  • Store equipment and assets in appropriate warehouse areas.
  • Maintain organized inventory in designated areas, including:
    • Racking
    • New trucks, batteries, and chargers
    • Rental trucks, batteries, and chargers
    • Used trucks, batteries, and chargers
    • Systems assets and customer trucks
    • Scrap trucks and lease returns
    • Used retail-ready area
    • Battery changing/storage area
    • 10 pallet racks
  • Ensure assets are stored in even rows with passageways every 15 yards.
  • Maintain covers and panels on equipment as required.
  • Correct misplaced assets, including system or physical warehouse adjustments.
  • Prevent unauthorized removal of assets or parts from the warehouse.
  • Remove batteries from used trucks prior to storage.
  • Perform monthly cycle inventories, investigate discrepancies, and correct them immediately (e.g., re-tagging assets and updating the system).

Housekeeping

  • Keep the warehouse and lot clean, free of debris, with equipment parked in neat, even rows.
  • Complete assigned daily housekeeping tasks.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with employees, co-workers, and managers across departments.
  • Willingness to work off-hours as needed and assume additional responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated with efficient time management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Non-sedentary position; work is often performed outside or in a warehouse environment.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional work on job sites under construction.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
  • Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasional requirement to smell.
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
  • Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, high/precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration.
  • Noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by factors such as relevant experience, education, and work location.
