Responsibilities
- Safely operate material handling equipment: pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required for forklift)
- Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and verify accuracy of orders and product quality
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards
- Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory
- Follow all QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols
- Use handheld scanners to pick and pack customer orders accurately
- Conduct cycle counts and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy
- Follow FEFO (First Expired, First Out) procedures for food products
- Use a voice-directed picking system (VoCollect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders
Requirements
- Electric Pallet Jack use within the last 2 years
- Comfort working in varying temperatures including freezer (-5 °F to 38 °F) and cooler environments
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred
- Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation
- Strong reading/math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation
Schedule & Setting
- Full-time, on-site in a temperature-controlled warehouse (dry, cooler, freezer: -5 °F to 38 °F)
- Shift: Primarily a 5-day work week, starting at 3:00am-11:30am
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50+ lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods
Pay & Benefits
Pay Range (Base Pay): $24.41 - $25.66. Other Compensation: May include shift differentials, overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location.
