Responsibilities
- Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database.
- Captures and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
- Implements daily production and shipping plans, arranging for excess stock to be stored in the warehouse.
- Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
- Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
- Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.
- Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
- Operates forklift truck.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
- Examines shipment contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
- Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
- Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Forklift certification
- Experience with hand jack, forklift, and roll grab
- CDL License (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office, specifically Excel
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills
- Able to speak English
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year experience in a warehouse role
Skills
