Warehouse Associate

The Shift 12:30-9pm position at Mattress Firm requires weekends. Located at 2036 Miguel Bustamante Parkway, Colton, CA 92324, USA.

About the role

Join us to help people sleep well so they can live well. Our supply chain team ensures a smooth shopping experience by handling deliveries and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.
• Stage deliveries and store products in designated locations.
• Ensure inventory is dated and rotated according to schedule.
• Inspect products for defects and damages during receipt or shipment.
• Obtain appropriate and authorized signatures on paperwork.
• Aid in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.
• Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.
• Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.
• May operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.
• Maintain grounds by picking up papers and trash, cleaning the parking lot, and entrance to the building.
• Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.
• Mop, sweep, and wash offices, warehouse floors, truck docks, and aisles to ensure cleanliness.
• Remove trash daily by emptying trash containers, transporting materials to disposal areas, and recycling materials.
• Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
• Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
• Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of general warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Manages time efficiently to ensure work completion.

Skills

• General warehouse operations knowledge.
• Equipment and function of Powered Industrial Trucks for product relocation and safety inspection.
