About the role
Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is the largest private provider of facility services in North America, covering over 180 million square feet daily. As we continue to grow, we seek motivated and dynamic Warehouse Associates (Corrugated Recycler) to join our team in permanent, full-time positions. These roles focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations in the collection and removal of corrugated cardboard gondolas across all facilities.
Responsibilities
- Use a manual pallet jack to collect full gondolas (large trash bins/containers) and replace them with empty gondolas within assigned areas at the start of each shift.
- Transport and position full corrugated cardboard gondolas into the baler or compactors located in a designated warehouse area (training provided).
- Ensure areas around all gondolas are free of debris and trash.
- Dust, mop, and sweep around trash container areas to keep walkways clear of garbage and debris.
- Maintain traffic areas ("Green Mile" walkways) free of debris at all times to ensure safety for everyone.
- Maintain and sort baler/compactor areas to uphold order.
- Perform other cleaning tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to use a manual pallet jack to lift and move gondolas weighing up to 75+ pounds.
- Capability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach objects both below the waist and above the head.
- Able to consistently push and pull loaded manual pallet jacks with trash/cardboard.
- Walk frequently within and around the facility throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10–12 hours.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and chemical handling documents (typically in English; may be in Spanish as required by state).
- Background check and drug screening required.
KBS uses the mobile time-tracking software KBSPresence to accurately record work hours, manage attendance, complete required training, and distribute important job information. All non-exempt employees must download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out of shifts and breaks. Reimbursement for cell phone usage is offered in accordance with local laws to support the use of personal devices for work tasks.
Schedule
- Days and nights vary, including weekends.
- Available shifts:
- Wednesday to Saturday: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Sunday to Wednesday: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM
