About the role
The Warehouse Associate will play a key role in picking orders, material handling, inventory management, cycle counting, consolidations and ensuring accurate tracking of parts within the warehouse. This position requires a proactive individual who can move parts and materials efficiently to designated locations, assist with receiving shipments, and maintain an organized and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking and Packing:
- Accurately pick and pack materials for customer orders according to specified instructions.
- Ensure that all items are handled carefully and packed securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify product specifications and quantities before shipping.
- Material Handling:
- Safely and efficiently move materials, parts, and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks, containers, or pallets using appropriate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Ensure parts and materials are stored in their designated locations for easy access and retrieval.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist with inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking and storage of materials, parts, and products.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Organize products based on size, weight, or type to maximize space and optimize workflows.
- Cycle Counting:
- Perform routine cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
