Warehouse Associate

About the role

Hood Distribution, established in 1899, is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty products serving the eastern U.S. and Caribbean markets. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team in Columbus, OH.

Warehouse Associates retrieve, restock, load, and unload material in the wood industry, including particleboard, high-pressure laminate, wood finishes and stains, solid surfaces, and other professional woodworking supplies.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently pull customer orders for next-day delivery and customer pick-up.
• Effectively unload inbound freight by hand or forklift, verify the dropped-off material, and enter items into the system.
• Restock and verify inventory in proper bin locations.
• Maintain a healthy warehouse environment.

Requirements

• Proven warehouse experience (minimum 1 year).
• Prior experience and ability to operate a forklift (minimum 1 year).
• Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) devices and computer tools.
• Must be able to lift 50–100 lbs.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Pay

$19.00 – $21.00 per hour.

Benefits are available the first of the month following completion of one month of continuous full-time employment.
