Warehouse Associate

About the role

We have two openings for warehouse associates, one for seafood and one for gourmet side. The warehouse associate will load and unload delivery vehicles, both outgoing and incoming, and maintain a clean and tidy work environment while complying with all relevant safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Accepting delivery of inventory
• Counting and confirming inventory
• Inspecting inventory for damage and faults
• Communicating errors with relevant parties
• Marking and labeling stock
• Storing inventory in an accessible manner
• Loading and wrapping stock on pallets
• Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a refrigerated warehouse
• Ability to operate a forklift proficiently
• Strong people skills
• Good moral character
• Ability to lift 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per shift
• Able to frequently push, pull, bend, squat, and reach
• Physically strong, agile, and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance
• Available to work extended hours as needed
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus
• Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck, and electric pallet jack safely as required

Schedule

Available to work a night shift from Sunday to Friday, with one weekday designated as a day off, start time 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM schedule.
