About the role

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking an entry-level Warehouse Associate to join our team. We provide best-in-class products, service, and capabilities across industries including Commercial/Mechanical, Facilities Supply, Fire and Fabrication, HVAC, Industrial, Residential Trade, Residential Building and Remodel, Waterworks, and Residential Digital Commerce. With approximately 36,000 associates across 1,700 locations, we operate with a shared purpose of building something meaningful.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a stand-up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
Use technology like RF devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders.
Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage, and stock all incoming material.
Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility clean, safe, and accident-free.
Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Requirements

1 or more years of warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management is required.
Prior HVAC or plumbing experience preferred.
High attention to detail.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic.
Self-starter with the ability to learn systems quickly.
Focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Pre-employment drug and background screening required.

Pay

Starting pay is $21 per hour or higher depending on experience. The pay range for this role is $17.17 - $28.72 per hour. This role is bonus or incentive plan eligible. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.

Schedule

1st shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 1:30 AM.
