Warehouse Associate

About the role

Supports the day-to-day operations of the Branch by providing order and delivery services. Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative.

Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test screening for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This position is also subject to a background check for any convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities; only job-related convictions will be considered and will not automatically disqualify the candidate.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and handle warehouse products
• Prepare product for customer delivery
• Ship orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a safe and orderly warehouse environment
• Operate power-truck equipment (certification required)
• Use inventory control equipment, such as bar-coding devices and handheld scanners
• Read and match orders on shipping tickets to items picked
• Perform basic math and reasoning tasks
• Identify product by size, type, style, color, or product code

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Warehouse or distribution experience preferred
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. unassisted; occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds
• Ability to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
• Position requires standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, and climbing ladders for top-level selection
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Skills

• Basic math and reasoning skills
• Fluent in English (Spanish a plus)
