Warehouse Associate

About the role

This is a manufacturing company that produces folding cartons used for packaging retail and consumer products. You would be working on a fast moving production floor with clear quality and food safety standards in place.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cartons for defects and pull any flawed product
• Pack finished cartons for shipment
• Check case labels against the production order and pull samples for quality checks
• Mark the last case and last partial case for each completed order
• Flag any cartons that do not meet quality standards
• Check security tags on cartons when tag verification is used
• Help clear and reset the line between production runs
• Sort cartons that need rework
• Feed cartons into the machine as needed
• Keep your work area clean and organized

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• Able to pass a color vision test and meet general vision requirements
• Comfortable standing for long periods in a manufacturing environment
• Basic math skills for measurements and counts
• Able to work in a fast paced, team based environment

Qualifications

• Preferred, Bonus: 1 year or more of experience in a manufacturing or production setting
• Preferred, Bonus: Experience in a food safety regulated facility (SQF, 5S practices)
• Preferred, Bonus: Basic computer skills for tracking production data

Skills

• Quality inspection experience, spotting defects in packaging or production materials
• Comfort working around production line equipment in a manufacturing setting
• Basic math and measurement skills for checking counts and specs

Pay

$15/hr is on the lower to mid range for entry level packaging, inspection roles nationally, competitive mainly if local cost of living is modest.
