About the role
Perform functions that include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and completing orders for delivery according to schedule, including packing, wrapping, labeling, loading, and shipping.
- Assist in shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other material handling and warehouse equipment.
- Assist in receiving and verifying paperwork and quantity for incoming raw materials into stockroom locations.
- Perform inventory controls and maintain high-quality standards for audits.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Assist in performing physical kitting and transactional issues for production work orders.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (10–50 pounds regularly, over 100 pounds occasionally).
- Current forklift license or willingness to be trained.
- Effective communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to comprehend and comply with company safety and quality standards.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Computer skills within a manufacturing environment.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with all SPG and DuPont safety policies and procedures.
Working Conditions
- Works under immediate supervision.
- About 75% of the time will be spent moving around the warehouse to perform warehouse functions.
- About 25% of the time will be spent sitting and working at a computer.
