Warehouse Associate

DSG is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Douglas, WY. This is a full-time, hourly position with work typically performed between 7 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday, though hours may vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pull material from location to fill each order
• Pack, label, and place filled orders in proper locations for delivery
• Operate gas and electric forklifts and riders
• Operate wire measuring/cutting machine, cut wire to proper length, mark tags with new wire amounts, and fill racks
• Operate pipe machine, cut pipe to proper length and depth
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment (sweep/mop floors, clean shelves, sort and dispose of trash)
• Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies
• Handle calls for the warehouse as needed
• Use computer and/or RF scanner to check product status, availability, and location
• Notify inventory control about shortages or overages
• Load delivery trucks as needed
• Assist in Receiving as workload permits
• Inspect trucks before delivery (check tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, etc.) and report or schedule repairs for any issues
• Communicate with fellow employee-owners regarding product loading and address any concerns
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic product and warehouse or delivery knowledge (typically acquired in 1–3 years of applicable experience)
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Safety training on material handling and forklift driving
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
• Prior computer knowledge and experience
