We’ve been in business since 1874 and are still family owned and operated. Our Nashville branch is looking for a Warehouse Associate ready to show up, work hard, and grow with us. Warehouse Associates at Conklin have advanced to roles such as Shipping Lead, Receiving Lead, Warehouse Manager, Inside Sales Representative, Branch Manager, and Operations Manager.
Location and Commute
Located at 1150 Antioch Pike, Suite 250, Nashville, TN 37211, in the Antioch area off I-24 on the south side of Nashville. The 7:00 AM start time helps avoid the worst Nashville traffic, making it ideal for commuters from Antioch, Smyrna, Murfreesboro, Brentwood, or surrounding South Nashville areas.
Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against invoices, checking for accuracy and product condition
- Pull, stage, pack, and load outgoing deliveries and branch transfers without damaging product
- Load and secure trucks in accordance with DOT and Conklin standards
- Organize and maintain stock on shelving, bins, and overhangs according to company standards
- Monitor inventory and report discrepancies to management
- Operate a forklift safely as a regular part of your daily work
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
Requirements
- Hands-on forklift experience and ability to operate one confidently and safely every day
- At least two years of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in shipping and receiving accuracy
- Inventory-control experience (preferred but not required)
- Commitment to safety and consistent adherence to established procedures
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and maintain high physical activity throughout your shift
- Comfort working in variable temperatures and occasionally adjusting your schedule based on workload
- Dependability, coachability, and a desire to build a long-term career
Forklift certification is preferred. A strong work ethic is required. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen, including testing for marijuana.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Overtime available based on workload
- Weekly pay through direct deposit
