About the role
This hands-on position is based at our warehouse in Raynham, MA. The Warehouse Associate will handle inventory, yard, and office tasks while interacting with field employees and customers. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of warehouse experience.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials and supplies from trucks
- Assist in staging materials (kitting) for projects as requested
- Perform equipment maintenance checks and operate a forklift
- Assist in maintaining vehicle maintenance records
- Manage and execute ongoing cost-saving and efficiency initiatives
- Ensure effective utilization of equipment and vehicle assets
- Report delays, discrepancies, unsafe working conditions, or maintenance issues to management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom and yard
- Execute various warehouse transactions electronically
- Track and cycle count stock to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Assist with deliveries or pick-ups to/from job sites and customer locations
- Handle all shipping and receiving functions
- Monitor and confirm accuracy of all material and stock for easy retrieval and verification
- Follow established policies and procedures to ensure quality and cost control
- Transport vehicles needing work to and from maintenance sites
- Assist with general office and grounds maintenance, including scheduling sanding, salting, and plowing
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in material handling activities within a warehouse (desired)
- Telecommunications experience (desired but not required)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Dependable, self-starter with an excellent work ethic; team-player willing to help wherever needed
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and in-house personnel
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Frequent ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to above head
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach, and use both hands and feet
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, walking, and communicating via telephone or computer
- Regular use of office equipment such as computers, copiers, and fax machines
- Operation of vehicles for company business
- Work is performed in and out of an office environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, wet conditions, vibration, and loud noise
Schedule
Regular hours are Monday – Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with potential for additional overtime.
Pay
Expected compensation is $20 to $32 an hour, depending on education, training, experience, skills, geographic location, seniority, merit, and other job-related factors.
