Warehouse Associate

About the role

Receives, organizes, stores, pulls and ships merchandise/supplies used to fulfill customer orders. Assembles and builds industrial and hydraulic hose upon receiving proper training and guidance. Assists customers on Bridgestone HosePower’s retail counter with guidance, hose repair, and order processing.

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving, including unloading and processing of items
• Move, store, and transfer materials, supplies, and merchandise in and around the warehouse
• Maintain stock in an organized fashion on shelves or in proper locations
• Display merchandise, suggest selections that meet customer's needs, and emphasize selling points such as quality and utility
• Discuss use and features of various parts; make recommendations based on customer needs
• Resolve or alert management regarding inventory issues or customer concerns
• Assemble and build industrial and hydraulic hose to appropriate specifications and standards
• Uphold environmental health and safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Prior experience in an industrial or hydraulic warehouse setting
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to lift/move product weighing more than 50 pounds
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to complete transactions with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to manage time and complete assigned tasks with a high degree of attention to detail
• Ability to effectively interact with staff and vendors
• Ability to attentively listen and effectively communicate in oral and written format

Pay

$17–25/hour including bonus compensation; actual base wage commensurate with experience.
