Warehouse Associate

About the role

The DC Outfitter must have physical stamina and strength to perform various duties in the Distribution Center. Responsibilities may include repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs., loading/unloading trailers, scanning bar codes, filling customer orders, stocking merchandise, packing orders, sorting merchandise, processing returns, repairing equipment, and maintaining work areas.

Responsibilities

• Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Loads or unloads trailers by hand, including moving items like grills, tree stands, safes, kayaks, etc.
• Uses scanners to read bar codes on labels and products.
• Fills customer orders by inspecting merchandise and matching it to the order.
• Stocks merchandise to ensure availability of items.
• Packs customer orders for shipment.
• Selects and verifies product for fulfillment and routes to the next area or packs for shipping.
• Assigns and reassigns pick locations based on reports and maintains an accurate listing of all locations.
• Sorts merchandise as appropriate.
• Processes, tickets, or sorts merchandise for retail locations.
• Performs returns processing for customer orders.
• Cleans and repairs different reel models and determines if repair is under warranty.
• Maintains work area by cleaning as needed.
• Performs manual or physical job duties, based upon DC needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Production standards and accuracy are especially important.
  • Communicate courteously and professionally with fellow employees and be a team player.
  • Multitasking skills.
  • Commitment to safety rules and procedures.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule with mandatory overtime, when scheduled.
  • Pay close attention to detail and work well with numbers.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
