Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Warehouse Associate ensures effective movement and management of inventory between the dock, sales floor, product repair, customer pickup, and delivery. This role involves evaluating and shipping merchandise and managing inventory flow.

Responsibilities

• Fills order requests, stages merchandise, and loads shipments in a timely manner (Shipping).
• Evaluates products and moves them to designated zones for processing (Receiving).
• Moves merchandise between the dock, stockroom staging area, sales floor, customer pickup or delivery, and removes 'sold' merchandise from the sales floor.
• Audits and maintains accuracy of HFM (Hold for Merchandise) staging area.
• Assembles merchandise and disassembles/assembles fixtures for seasonal flexes or floor plan changes.
• Processes receipts and ensures inventories are controlled, monitored, and logged.
• Creates required documentation to log all shipments and deliveries to customers.
• Provides customer service through timely, attentive, and friendly assistance during pickups and inquiries.
• Reports and responds to Store Management about unsafe and/or unethical conditions.
• Develops a "team" environment with the sales floor, ensuring timely movement of merchandise to meet presentation standards.
• Protects Company assets by following policies for customer pickup procedures.
• Performs daily housekeeping, including cleaning and straightening.
• Assists with miscellaneous duties, including extra sales help once cross-trained.
• Maintains a safe and clean receiving area.
• Assists customers by delivering items to their car and helping with loading and securing merchandise.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift and move at least fifty (50) pounds to maintain flow and replenishment of merchandise.
