Responsibilities
- Process, package and ship orders accurately
- Organize stocks and maintain inventory
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments
- Organize warehouse space
- Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
- Check, verify and fill customer invoices
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
- Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jack, hoists, conveyors, or handling equipment to move material
- Identify potential hazards in the workplace and act to eliminate/minimize risks
- Promote safety awareness and immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or unsafe equipment
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment while ensuring housekeeping duties are completed as required
- Maintain functional knowledge of BOLs and receiving and BOM processes
- Perform daily forklift inspections per required criteria
- Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience using material handling equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong work ethic with proven ability to support a positive team environment in a lead role
- Proven ability to complete necessary training and follow safety policies, procedures and processes
- Demonstrated knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in material handling field
- Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus on instructions and safety
- Proven excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work and sense of urgency
- Proven ability to further develop computer skills such as email, reports and site-specific systems as necessary
- Proven ability to hold themselves and assigned team accountable for their areas of responsibility and for their actions
- Proven ability and willingness to cross train in other areas for back up coverage as needed
- Greater than 6 months of experience in a lead warehouse/material handling or production role in a warehouse or production environment
- Proven to have extensive knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in material handling field
