Warehouse Associate - 5am Freezer

About the role

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD) is a custom last‑mile distribution company serving food‑service customers across the United States. The 5 a.m. Freezer Picker position in Kent, WA involves accurately selecting and preparing frozen products for delivery using a voice‑directed picking system in a cold‑storage warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Use a Vocollect voice‑directed headset to accurately select frozen products and build customer orders.
• Work throughout the shift in a freezer environment with temperatures ranging from 0 °F to –10 °F.
• Learn to safely operate electric pallet jacks, stand‑up forklifts, and other material‑handling equipment.
• Inspect products for damage, quality concerns, and correct packaging before completing orders.
• Stack, wrap, label, and stage completed pallets for delivery.
• Meet established accuracy and productivity expectations throughout the shift.
• Lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 50 lb while wearing required freezer‑protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following food‑safety, freezer, and warehouse safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of general warehouse experience preferred.
• No previous material‑handling equipment experience required; training will be provided.
• Basic reading and math skills needed to verify products, quantities, labels, and order information.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, lift, and carry up to 50 lb throughout a 10‑hour shift.
• Ability to work in freezer temperatures ranging from 0 °F to –10 °F for extended periods.
• Availability to work the scheduled 5:00 a.m. shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as operationally needed.

Schedule

• Full‑time position beginning at 5:00 a.m.
• Four‑day, 10‑hour schedule.
• On‑site warehouse work in a freezer environment.
• Weekends and holidays may be included in the regular schedule.
• Overtime required when operational needs arise.

Pay

• Base pay: $25.07 per hour.
• Weekly pay (every Friday).
• Potential shift differentials, overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable.
