Schedule

  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. or until job is completed
  • Hours may extend before or after the listed shift as needed
  • Overtime required with little or no advance notice

About the role

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment, including warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply, and manufacturing planning.

Warehouse Operations performs and controls manual or automated tasks for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This includes receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, and maintaining the efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to customer shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders: accurately pick, perform quality control checks, sort, consolidate freight, build and wrap pallets, pack, load, and prepare orders for shipment
  • Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products
  • Operate material handling equipment such as order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider
  • Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks; maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Work on routine assignments requiring problem resolution
  • Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management
  • Perform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhere to all organizational policies, rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds; bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift
  • Work at heights of 20–30 feet regularly
  • Follow direction, change priorities, and work independently or as a team member
  • Aptitude to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting hourly performance standards
  • Adhere to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel-toed safety shoes, material handling equipment safety harness)

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • Previous material handling equipment (PIT) experience (preferred)
  • Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience (highly preferred)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (preferred)
