About the Role

The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for all inventory received into the warehouse and preparing product returns to suppliers with proper computer transactions and documentation. This role ensures smooth operations, efficient project completion, and clear communication with team members. Basic computer skills and math proficiency are essential for accurate transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Safe operation of pallet jacks, standup, and sit-down forklifts in a production environment.
  • Gauge distances and maintain depth perception to prevent product damage while operating equipment.
  • Transport raw materials to proper locations while adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) order.
  • Use part tracker to ensure correct placement of products in designated areas.
  • Invoice goods into inventory accurately, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
  • Within the first 6 months, learn to fully receive and put away goods, operate equipment safely, and maintain warehouse organization.
  • Develop an understanding of product storage to improve space utilization and organization.
  • Perform warehouse transactions, including invoicing materials, transferring materials, and printing labels.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards following the 5S principle (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Conduct daily safety checks on equipment, including forklifts and portions of tractor-trailers.
  • Deliver UPS, FedEx, or other goods to designated areas.
  • Keep the warehouse organized, safe, and clean.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • At least two years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and warehouse software for transactions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively during a shift, with the ability to reach, push, pull, lean, twist, and bend.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Standup and sit-down forklift (Hilo) operation skills.
