Warehouse Associate 1st Shift

About the role

Base pay starts at $18.00 per hour. Site address: 7301 Fairview Street, Houston, TX 77041. This position may require overtime, with shifts varying between 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on work orders and seasonal demands.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product on trailers using packing lists to verify all parts are accounted for.
• Place parts on trailers safely to prevent damage during shipment, following manufacturing procedures.
• Follow all safety rules and precautions for a manufacturing environment.
• Package, crate, or load items to ensure safe arrival and capacity loading.
• Use crating, packaging materials, metal bands, or other methods to secure and protect parts during shipment.
• Weigh trucks and decide when to check actual vs. maximum allowable trailer load.
• Continuously verify each load to ensure completeness.
• Expedite completion of work in process to meet production schedules.
• Assist with inventory counts as required.
• Maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area.
• Perform other projects or duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Previous work experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other lifting equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually, including above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
