Warehouse Associate 1
About the role

Duties & Responsibilities
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed to meet business demands.
- Verifies, identifies, and inspects a wide variety of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies, referring to purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Notes and records shortages and damaged material.
- Determines if incoming material requires inspection or testing and maintains lot traceable documentation.
- Uses forklift to transport material to work or storage areas.
- Enters inventory transactions directly into computer system.
- Uses barcode labels and scanners to track inventory.
- Maintains first in first out control of inventory.
- Assembles orders for shipments.
- Counts, weighs and checks against customer order and reports shortages.
- Selects packaging for materials not packed.
- Selects routing and carrier when not specified and/or follows customers routing guides.
- Prepares and assembles required shipping documents.
- Loads trailers and arranges for carrier pick up.
- Keeps files of shipping records.
Qualification
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years of related experience
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Microsoft D365, or other ERP & business system software is a plus.
- Excellent, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Diligent and detail oriented.
Physical Demands
- Regularly lift 10-20 pound objects.
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds for short distances.
Work Environment
- Regularly works in a warehouse environment near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

- Time Away: We observe 10 company-paid holidays per year and up to ten (10) days accrued vacation time in the first year. Eleven (11) days at year two (2). Twelve (12) days at year three (3). Thirteen (13) days at year four (4) and fifteen (15) days at year five (5). We also offer six (6) accrued personal days for you to use for things like weddings, moving, mental health, religious holiday, sick child or for anything that is truly personal.
- Saving for the Future: plan for your short-term and long-term goals with our 401(k)-retirement savings plan with employer match with no vesting schedule. You are fully vested on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. SATO will match 100%/dollar-for-dollar of your 401(k)-deferral amount of the first 3% of your pay and an additional match of 50%/$.50 on the next 2% of your pay. For example, if you defer 5% of your pay into the 401(k) Plan, SATO will make a 4% matching contribution.
