Warehouse Associate 1

About the Role

Omron Automation is seeking a Warehouse Associate 1 to join our team in Greer, SC. As a frontline member of our warehouse team, you will perform physical and administrative tasks involved in receiving, storing, shipping, packaging, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and finished goods, including highly sensitive electronic (ESD) parts. This entry-level role offers mentorship from senior staff to grow your knowledge and responsibilities in warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Shipping & Receiving:
  • Receive incoming materials, goods, and supplies, including highly sensitive electronics, by collecting and reviewing documentation, entering items into the ERP/MRP system, and storing materials in the proper location.
  • Deliver required components to production cells for finished goods assembly.
  • Process RMAs by verifying products, processing paperwork, and delivering items to the proper service individual.
  • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and carrier shipping documentation.
  • Retrieve assembled products from staging and store them in the proper location.
  • Pull truck and/or small package orders for shipment.
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for transport, following ESD protocols and ensuring accuracy.
  • Organize distribution and shipping of merchandise, ensuring accuracy against documents.
• Administrative:
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and semi-annual inventories.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of all products.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Compile and provide administrative reports as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or equivalent certification.
  • One year of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, especially with ESD-sensitive electronic parts, materials, and products.
  • Basic understanding of a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Documented computer skills with Microsoft Excel and tracking materials in a database.
  • Proven attention to detail and understanding of processes and procedural documents.
  • Experience with safety procedures for lifting and moving packages up to 50 pounds using floor jacks and hand trucks.
  • Ability to attain a Forklift License Certificate valid for South Carolina within 90 days of hire.
  • Proven ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Eligibility for any required authorization from the U.S. Government to conform with U.S. export control regulations.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of 5S principles and ability to apply them to the work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment.

Physical / Environmental Requirements

• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs. regularly.
• Moderate noise level in a manufacturing environment.
• No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
• No travel required.
