Basic Duties & Responsibilities
- Aids in maintaining warehouse conditions to a high standard of safety, organization, and cleanliness.
- Checks documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Inspects loads to ensure cargo is secure.
- Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
- Maintains logs and other documentation, as required.
- Fulfills delivery instructions.
- Ensures trailer and equipment conditions are inspected and reported.
- Safely secures cargo for transport.
- Follows appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods.
- Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including emergency roadside repairs.
- Loads and unloads trucks utilizing a forklift or other equipment.
- Repairs and maintains tools and equipment.
- Prepares orders for delivery.
- Drives trucks to deliver orders to construction sites.
- Performs basic computer functions.
- Assists with the maintenance of the vehicle yard.
Required Education And Experience
- Two (2) years of applicable experience delivering construction tools, materials, and/or equipment.
- Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- OR Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.
Work Environment
- Working at project locations, in vehicles, and in warehouses.
- Frequent exposure to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment.
- Variations in temperatures and conditions depending on the weather and seasons.
- Routine use of personal protective equipment, standard office equipment, and large equipment.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally stands, walks, sits, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves objects up to 50 pounds.
- Constantly lifts and/or moves objects up to 20 pounds.
Expected Hours of Work
Part-time position.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- CDL – Class A License preferred.
- Basic Construction materials/tools knowledge.
- Able to meet work schedule and attendance standards.
- Able to learn new systems and technologies.
- Able to work at a fast and steady pace to meet production goals.
- Able to operate large equipment safely.
- Able to follow all safety policies and procedures.
