Warehouse Assistant - Chico, CA

The Warehouse Assistant position is located at Race in Tehachapi, CA, with occasional travel to other Race offices or off-site locations. This role offers 100% company-paid medical and dental benefits, free fiber internet service, and a competitive starting salary of $17 to $20 USD per hour.

About the Role

The Warehouse Assistant assists in warehouse operations, including receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Verifies and inspects incoming shipments, unpacks items, and arranges them for storage.
• Coordinates with carriers to ensure timely and accurate shipments, prepares shipping documents, and loads/unloads trucks.
• Uses inventory management systems to locate and prepare products for shipment, manages returns, and keeps records of inventory movements.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, conducts inventory counts, and prepares reports for management.
• Operates forklifts, hand dollies, electric dollies, pallet jacks, and elevators to move and transport materials.
• Ensures safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Eligible for US employment without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license, subject to verification.
• One to two years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Familiarity with basic computer skills, including inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Some positions may require forklift certification.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English; proficiency in Spanish is desirable.
