About the role

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. This role is a Safety Sensitive position and subject to routine drug screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Offload trucks with materials from our vendor, and load trucks with product to ship to our customers.
  • Operate a forklift; forklift operator experience and certification is a plus!
  • Ensure that material loaded for delivery matches customer orders.
  • Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies.
  • Lift extremely heavy, awkward products (up to 50-100 pounds with a helper) repeatedly to store and load onto a truck.
  • Use your license (with valid medical card) to deliver products to customers (40% of role).

Requirements

  • History of being a truck driver and delivery driver.
  • Interest in working for a company that values hard work and loyalty.
  • Strong physical stamina – this role requires a lot of physical activity.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated – you should be a self-starter who doesn’t require constant supervision.
  • Experienced driver with a medical card.
  • Able to pass drug test, background, Clearinghouse and motor vehicle pre-employment screen.
  • Must be able to pass a driving test.
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation and provide a valid medical card.
