About the role
This position assists in the operations of the division from inside sales and inventory management aspects. The individual will also perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned or necessary.
Responsibilities
- Sell parts to customers on an as-needed basis
- Work with engineering to coordinate parts, pricing, part numbers, and lead times
- Order all large equipment and job materials
- Transfer inventory to jobs in AX
- Update internal customers on delays and job completion dates
- Support a performance-based culture, both team and individual, to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with enterprise vision, mission, and objectives
- Drive employee engagement, training, and development in safety, quality, and productivity
- Develop and manage the department budget
- Ensure regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local agencies
- Ensure quality and safety standards, specifications, and policies are met; drive continuous improvements and efficiencies
- Develop a culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members
- Drive a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and site safety
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant sales and inventory work experience in the HVAC Controls field or a related area
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred, but equivalent combination of education and experience (High School Diploma or GED minimum) will be considered
- 5 years of experience in HVAC Controls and BAS; High school diploma or GED required
- Vocational/technical training in HVAC, electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field preferred
- Prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring others
- Experience supporting construction and field employee groups, with strong problem-solving skills and self-initiative
- Familiarity with all product lines
- Commitment to an "open door" policy and comfort with production floor presence
- Demonstrated ability to coach managers and supervisors in company practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
- Experience in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities
- Key leadership competencies including high ethical standards, integrity, and drive to deliver results
Physical Activities
- Regularly stand, talk, or hear
- Frequently walk, use hands and arms to handle, feel, and reach; push, pull, bend, and twist
- Occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl through narrow, enclosed, or elevated spaces; move up and down stairs
- Visually inspect and locate equipment and products; read small print
- Enter and locate information on a computer system or communication device
- Write documents and reports using a writing instrument or computer
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
Working Conditions
- Primarily located in an office environment with moderate to low noise levels; typically sedentary
- Frequently exposed to varying temperatures, slippery or wet work areas, and near moving mechanical parts
- Work indoors for extended periods
Pay
$55,000–$70,000 yearly, depending on experience
