Job Responsibilities

  • Move air cargo within designated warehouses.
  • Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.
  • Build up cargo for outbound flights.
  • Break down cargo from import flights.
  • Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from semitrucks.
  • Operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
  • Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate.
  • Transport cargo to and from aircraft driving, 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to negotiate vehicles with attached carts through congested areas.
  • Read "off-load" sheets to determine the destination of cargo.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post offer drug screens.
  • Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to handle stress in a high-noise fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Some travel may be required for airline specific training.

Air General, a third-generation, family-owned, national cargo handling company, is seeking a full-time Warehouse Agent - Air Cargo at its Denver International Airport (DEN) location. The Warehouse Agent - Air Cargo will be responsible for various tasks including loading and unloading cargo, transporting goods, and assisting with security measures. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. The role also involves working in a fast-paced, high-noise environment and may require some travel for training purposes.
