Wall Assembler - 1st shift

Responsibilities

• Arrive ready to perform duties, dressed appropriately with PPE, all tools accounted for, stretched, and ready to take on the day.
• Perform start-up checklist for equipment in your assigned work area; guns, tables, nailing bridge, hoist, forklifts, etc.
• Report any issues to management and always follow safety precautions.
• Routine tasks for building walls:
• Load correct batch/wall into computer
• Assemble opening for designed wall
• Set opening into framing station if needed and set studs into framing station
• Nail all studs
• Apply sheeting if required or router openings if required
• Nail sheeting with nail gun bridge
• Stack walls in accordance to bundles with overhead hoist

Requirements

• Awareness of surroundings
• Use caution when transferring walls from one workstation to the next
• Never aim nail gun at yourself or in the direction of a co-worker
• Keep a clean area, free of debris/trip hazards
• Be aware of shutdown procedures for nail gun and clamping table
• If an incident occurs, perform shut down procedures and notify supervisor immediately
• Be at work on time, back from break on time, and working when you’re supposed to be, no later than 2 minutes after your break
• Help clean other areas of the shop if finished cleaning before the end of your shift

• Experience with assembly line work

• Ability to follow safety protocols
