About the Event

On Thursday 8th May, the Future Dreams Fashion Show lit up London with more than sequins and stilettos—it radiated courage, community, and unwavering hope. Held at St Mary’s Church in Marylebone, this catwalk extravaganza was no ordinary fashion event. All 36 models who graced the runway were breast cancer survivors or thrivers, walking not just for fashion, but for their futures.

Both the afternoon show, hosted by Kat Shoob, and the evening show, hosted by Cat Deeley and Jo Good, blended glamour with grit as they celebrated the real supermodels: women who’ve faced a breast cancer diagnosis and emerged stronger, bolder, and more determined than ever. As Shoob declared, “Forget Naomi and Kendall—the real supermodels are here today.” The crowd rose to their feet in cheers for the incredible women backstage, many of whom were walking a runway for the first time.

Mission and Impact

Behind the sparkle lies a serious mission. Future Dreams, founded around a kitchen table by Sylvie Henry and Danielle Leslie after both were diagnosed with breast cancer, has since raised millions to fund research and support services. Their legacy lives on through the Future Dreams House, the UK’s only dedicated breast cancer support centre, offering holistic care for patients and their families.

The event was filled with memorable moments, including a heartfelt speech from Amy Leslie, daughter and granddaughter of the charity’s founders, who shared her personal journey of living in the shadow of inherited breast cancer risk. “Future Dreams House feels like a hug from my mum and grandma,” she said, “It offers the most important thing of all—hope.”

The shows raised £160,000 for those impacted by breast cancer. With breast cancer rates set to double by 2030, the funds will ensure continued provision of vital support, life-saving awareness, and ground-breaking research for everyone affected by breast cancer.

Sponsors and Supporters

Sponsors such as RevitaLash Cosmetics and fashion brands like Victoria’s Secret, Hobbs, Never Fully Dressed, and Scamp & Dude brought their support to the stage, not just with designs but through heartfelt stories of why breast cancer advocacy is part of their core mission. A particularly moving moment was the appearance of Alex Newman, husband of late cancer campaigner Nicky Newman, who walked for the ‘Go Grab Life’ collection created in her honour.

Stories of Resilience

Perhaps the most powerful moment came from Cece, a young mother and survivor who shared her raw, moving story of diagnosis and recovery—and how Future Dreams helped her reclaim her identity, joy, and confidence. “I was lost,” she admitted, “but Future Dreams helped me become the new me.”

The Future Dreams Fashion Show was a celebration, a call to action, and a living testament to the beauty of resilience. It reminded all in attendance that while breast cancer may leave scars, it can never dim the light of a woman determined to rise.
