The Waldorf Astoria New York, newly restored and re‑opened, is seeking a Pastry Cook to join its team. In this role you will help create unforgettable experiences for guests by preparing and presenting high‑quality baked goods in a luxury hotel environment that includes 375 rooms, extensive event space, a holistic spa, and celebrity chef partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Create high‑quality baked goods: prepare and bake pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts following designated recipes and quality standards.
• Present food items with care: arrange and display baked goods according to specifications, ensuring an appealing presentation.
• Manage pastry inventory: ensure proper storage, refrigeration, and organization of all pastry products while preparing daily requisitions for supplies and food items.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace: keep designated food service stations stocked and sanitary while following proper food‑handling, storage, and safety protocols.
• Comply with regulatory standards: maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol‑awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team‑member well‑being.
