Walden - Inpatient Therapist

About the role

The Inpatient Therapist provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Director. This is a Per Diem position for coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work and case management consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, participate in treatment planning, and discharge planning for assigned cases
• Manage cases on both the inpatient eating disorder unit and inpatient psychiatric unit
• Conduct individual, group and family therapy
• Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources
• Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner
• Work collaboratively with the treatment team and Walden continuum
• May be required to support virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed, including during periods of low census or to address coverage needs

Requirements

• Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting
• Licensure/Certification: LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, LMFT, preferred or license-eligible
• CPR certification, required

• Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships, age specific growth and development, behavior management and crisis management
