Waitstaff in Senior Living

Waitstaff are responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience to residents and guests. Waitstaff ensure the Dining Room is welcoming by adhering to cleanliness standards, and providing a prompt and courteous meal service. Complies with federal, state, and local standards for community operation. Incorporates Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others. Scope Of Job Tasks Sets tables with clean linens, silverware, and glasswareCleans tablesWipes tabletops and chairsTake meal orders from residentsReplenishes supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in dining roomSupplies self-service bar with food, such as: soups, salads, and dessertsGathers plates and bowls as necessary for self-service bar and soup kettleServes meals, drinks, and condiments to residentsAssists setting up food and drink for special events or meetingsAssists with clean up after special eventsCleans server area at the end of shiftMaintains cleanliness of prep items in produce cooler (salad dressings, fruits, etc.)Makes coffee and fills fruit juice dispensersSweeps and mop floorsTransfers food and dishes between floors of establishment to residentsCompletes daily and weekly cleaning dutiesOther duties as assigned Schedule Part time working 4pm-7pm or 7am-10pmPRN Education JOB SPECIFICATION: High school diploma or GED is desired Experience No previous experience is required Qualifications Current Food Handler’s PermitCertification in CPR and First AidAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Physical Demands Workday - 8 hoursStands - often, up to 8 hoursSits - occasionalWalks - often, short distancesBends - oftenStairs - occasional, but not requiredClimbs - seldomKneels - seldomLifts - often, up to 25lbsRepetitive hand/foot - occasional Supervision This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
