Schedule

Full‑time and part‑time schedules. Hours and days may vary, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

Fixed Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

Prior server experience in a senior living setting preferred.

Job Summary

Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining‑room guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages efficiently, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food‑handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
• Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences.
• When needed, demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.
• Communicate directly with back‑of‑the‑house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to get along well with others.
• Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash‑handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
• Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to a supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep the area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced‑tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
