WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

About the role

Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full time and part time Waiter/Waitress positions at The Atrium Navesi — 40 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Hours and days may vary, including weekends. Prior food service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages efficiently, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on appropriate combinations when requested.
• Accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences; as needed, demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.
• Communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others; remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
• Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat while meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay

Fixed pay rate: $17.00 per hour.
