About the role

As a Wait Staff Non-Tipped at Sodexo, you will provide customers with efficient and attentive service while exceeding the customer’s expectations. You will serve a variety of made-fresh-to-order entrées, appetizers, desserts, and beverage items from Sodexo’s restaurant menu while exhibiting a professional, friendly, and attentive approach.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation.
• Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence.
• Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent.
• Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism.
• Perform physical tasks including significant walking, standing for extended periods (exceeding 8 hours), reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
• Use hands to finger, handle, feel, or reach with hands and arms; ability to taste and smell.
• Perform repetitive motions.
• Attend work and arrive on time for scheduled shifts with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 year related experience.
• If applicable, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations.
• May require a valid TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures), TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management), or equivalent alcohol-service certification, and must comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements.

Pay

$18 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time, mornings on varying days. More details will be provided during the interview process.
