About the role
Provide push-in support for students with special needs in general education classes, prepare IEPs for case load students.
Responsibilities
- Provide push-in support for students with special needs in general education classes
- Prepare Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students
- Exercise independent and professional judgment in carrying out daily functions
- Maintain an effective work pace under pressure to meet deadlines
- Grasp new concepts quickly and apply them effectively
- Work effectively with others
Requirements
- Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board
- Special education classroom experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Desired knowledge: Plan and facilitate IEP meetings; exercise independent and professional judgment; maintain an effective work pace under pressure; grasp new concepts quickly and apply them effectively; work effectively with others
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
- Desired Experience: Special education classroom experience in a K-12 school setting
