Key Responsibilities
- Performs shift-based work as required.
- Manages material input and replacement to ensure uninterrupted machine operation.
- Maintains the cleanliness of machines and components using tools such as hoses, air guns, IPA, rags, vacuums, and other small devices.
- Promptly addresses machine alarms.
- Makes sure equipment settings are monitored, escalating deviations to the Shift Lead or Supervisor when necessary.
- Observes and addresses defect spikes, ensuring timely responses.
- Replaces, repairs, or adjusts machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
- Applies adhesives, lubricants, or other materials following standard procedures to ensure proper machine operation.
- Operates DWS machines in alignment with established protocols:
- Pre-slicing: Calls for brick, checks brick status and lot information, adjusts wire length based on brick dimensions, inspects for wire jumps or doubles, verifies coolant flow, tension, and wire conditions.
- During slicing: Troubleshoots wire breakage, monitors for wire jumps, doubles, or bowing.
- Post-slicing: Confirms full slicing by inspecting beam cuts, checks for wire issues before brick exits to avoid breakage.
- Post-unloading: Cleans the cutting room and inspects equipment lifespans (e.g., pulleys, WGRs), drains and replaces coolant, clean filters, and log production data.
- Collaborates with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Ensures compliance with all departmental policies, procedures, and environmental health and safety regulations.
- Adheres to all company policies and guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Understanding of quality standards, health, and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Able to use precision hand eye coordination and dexterity, as position requires working with fine tungsten wire.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably in solar or semiconductor industries.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, and withstand non-climate-controlled work environments.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
- Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical (TN VISA available for those with a 2-year degree)/ Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant mechanical or electrical licenses preferred.
- Prior experience in operating and managing automation equipment.
- Familiarity with processes in solar or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of standing for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
