About the Role

The position is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) providing anesthesia services for a variety of obstetric cases in a collaborative environment in Pasadena, TX. The role focuses on managing laboring patients, working independently with MD backup as needed, and offers a job‑share schedule with extensive time off.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for a variety of obstetric case types, averaging about 2,200 deliveries annually.
• Manage laboring patients independently while having MD backup available.
• Perform epidural and spinal anesthesia with strong technical skills.
• Maintain a “no‑call” schedule; no overnight or weekend coverage required.
• Optionally pick up extra OR shifts during the 26 weeks off if desired.

Requirements

• Current certification as a CRNA by the National Board on Certification and Re‑Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Valid, unrestricted RN and CRNA licenses in Texas (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum 1–3 years of CRNA experience with proficiency in obstetric cases.
• Strong clinical knowledge for anesthesia management of diverse patient populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing clinical situations and deliver optimal patient care.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Strong epidural and spinal skills; comfortable managing laboring patients independently.

Pay

Salary: $250,000 (1099 contractor) plus a sign‑on bonus.

Schedule

• Day schedule: 3 days one week, 2 days the next week.
