About the role

Cipher Tech Solutions is seeking a Senior Vulnerability Researcher to join our team in Vienna, VA. The ideal candidate must already hold a TS clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research on emerging threats and vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure systems.
• Develop and maintain security tools and methodologies for identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are integrated into product development processes.
• Write technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in vulnerability research and cybersecurity.
• Proven track record of successful threat hunting and incident response activities.
• Experience with penetration testing, ethical hacking, and secure coding practices.
• Knowledge of common attack vectors and countermeasures against advanced persistent threats.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with red team operations and blue team defense strategies.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, etc.
• Experience with network protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and technologies.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards.
