Job Overview
The VP of Technology Portfolio Management is responsible for providing portfolio management support to agile and project teams, ensuring alignment, visibility, and effective execution across the enterprise technology portfolio. This role plays a critical leadership function within the EPMO, driving consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement in how portfolio initiatives are planned, governed, and delivered.
Responsibilities
- Present portfolio health to executive team (CIO Direct) monthly
- Identify, elevate and resolve critical portfolio insights, opportunities and gaps
- Lead portfolio lead bi-weekly meetings for an executive audience
- Cook with program managers, technology and business executives to assure OKRs are aligned within the portfolio and to enterprise goals
- Talent Management for program managers, portfolio leads, release train engineers and scrum masters
- Be a resource to portfolio, program and project managers in developing upfront estimates of time and resource utilization through organized discovery with stakeholders
- Manage the portfolio budget, coordinate with finance leadership to ensure funds are used efficiently
- Arbitrate and resolve conflict within the portfolio when necessary. Understand when escalation is appropriate and provide clear definition of impediments to executives
- Aid organizational change management and enterprise intake control in defining the changes requested by stakeholders and prioritize those that will result in the best outcome for the firm
- Create and maintain monthly executive reporting standards
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing highly complex and matrixed IT programs budgets up to $25M
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing people with a proven track record of developing talent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience managing a portfolio of AI Agents and AI enabled products
- Deep understanding of and ability to manage Project and Software Development Life Cycle(s) using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Preferences
- Agile or PMP certification
- Experience monitoring and managing vendor performance
- Experience managing requirement solution workshops
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project or similar tools
- Knowledge of JIRA, Aha!, Confluence or similar tools
- 4-year college degree, preferably in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications or related technical field
