Senior leadership role driving business performance, customer excellence, and organizational effectiveness across the Western region. The VP, Team Leader - West serves as a strategic business partner and people leader who fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, communication, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 90+ associates across the Western region, including six or more direct reports.
- Foster a highly collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on partnership, accountability, transparency, and delivering results.
- Establish clear expectations and performance standards while holding leaders accountable for execution and outcomes.
- Build organizational capability through succession planning, talent development, mentoring, and leadership coaching.
- Promote open communication and information sharing across all levels of the organization.
- Create an inclusive and engaging environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Lead regular team meetings and business reviews to ensure alignment on priorities, objectives, and performance.
- Business Leadership
- Deliver regional revenue, profit, growth, and customer performance objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans that support company objectives and customer growth initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, improved execution, and revenue expansion.
- Ensure effective utilization of company resources while managing within approved budgets.
- Drive accountability for achieving sales fundamentals, business goals, and client commitments.
- Customer & Client Partnership
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, clients, and principals across the region.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for significant customer, client, and operational issues.
- Lead strategic planning and business reviews with customers and principals.
- Represent the company in high-profile customer engagements, negotiations, and growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure exceptional service delivery and execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Retail Operations, Business Intelligence, Finance, Human Resources, and Client Services teams to achieve business goals.
- Break down organizational silos and promote a "One Team" approach across all functions.
- Ensure consistent communication, alignment, and execution of priorities throughout the region.
- Share best practices and leverage resources across markets to improve overall performance.
- Financial & Operational Excellence
- Manage regional budgets and resources to maximize profitability and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement action plans to address opportunities and risks.
- Utilize data, analytics, and marketplace insights to support business decisions and growth strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and operational standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience within consumer-packaged goods (CPG), retail, sales, brokerage, or related industries.
- Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams, including direct leadership of multiple managers and directors.
- Demonstrated success managing organizations of 90+ employees.
- Strong track record of driving business growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
- Experience leading through change, organizational transformation, and business expansion.
- Exceptional people leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
- Advanced analytical and financial acumen.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Western region and nationally as business needs require.
- Strong interpersonal and highly developed writing skills; acute attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Sit for extended periods (typically 6+ hours per day).
- Use a computer, including keyboard and mouse, for prolonged periods.
- Lift and carry light items (e.g., files, office supplies, laptops, typically 20+ pounds).

Pay
$142,400.00 - $190,000.00 per year.
