What you’ll do
- Own and scale a stop-loss and reinsurance business from the ground up
- Originate and place reinsurance programs for ACOs, provider groups, captives, and other provider-led risk entities
- Lead relationships with reinsurers, carriers, and underwriting partners
- Structure and negotiate programs (attachment points, capacity, quota share, terms, etc.)
- Partner closely with actuarial, finance, product, and distribution teams to bring programs to market
- Act as the primary market-facing leader translating carrier and reinsurer feedback into scalable products
This role is a strong fit if you
- Have 10+ years of experience in medical stop-loss, reinsurance, or specialty insurance
- Have personally sold, placed, or originated stop-loss or reinsurance programs
- Bring an established network across carriers and/or reinsurers
- Are commercially driven and comfortable building something new rather than inheriting a legacy book
- Understand provider risk, healthcare economics, or value-based care (or are excited to deepen that expertise)
