About the Role
This position manages problem credits and collateral, participates in the management of the bank’s risk, and provides reports and analyses evaluating the bank’s risk. The role also contributes to planning sessions to determine future strategic initiatives related to risk management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage past due loans and loan workouts in support of lending officers.
- Monitor and manage the Watch List, Classified Assets, and Other Assets and Real Estate.
- Conduct periodic reviews and prepare risk assessments and action plans.
- Analyze borrower financial statements, tax returns, cash flow projections, borrowing base reports, appraisals, and collateral documentation.
- Identify emerging risks and recommend appropriate risk ratings and impairment analyses.
- Negotiate loan modifications, forbearance agreements, restructuring agreements, and settlement agreements.
- Recommend updates to the Asset Classification and Collections policy to ensure it remains current in a growth environment.
- Maintain required knowledge and procedural expertise of policies, guidelines, and programs to assist lending and bank management with technical issues.
- Effectively communicate information between loan officers, lending assistants, and management to inform of changes in the portfolio and ensure efficient operations.
- Understand and abide by the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank.
- Perform duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Course of study in Business, Finance, or Accounting is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of commercial lending, credit administration, loan workout, restructuring, or special assets experience.
- Demonstrated experience with commercial real estate, C&I, SBA, asset-based lending, and owner-occupied real estate credits.
- Strong understanding of collateral liquidation, bankruptcy proceedings, foreclosure remedies, and loan documentation.
